We were delighted to support the Shoebox Appeal - Operation Christmas Child - organised again this year by Alan Hawkins.

We gathered 35 boxes from the Church and Lyn Valley residents which were dispatched on 18th November.

Thank you to all who gave.

We received the sad news that Mary Hawkins, who had been an active member of the Church for many years, died on Saturday 3rd August.  Mary was 86.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her husband Alan, their five children and their families.

Mary's service of thanksgiving is being held on Friday 23rd August at Living Waters Lynton at 1:00 pm, with a tea afterwards in the Church hall.

In the photograph Mary is the lady receiving the sunflowers from Roger.

On Sunday 21st July we celebrated naming our Church, 'Living Waters Lynton United Reformed Church.'

We held a service in the morning with the theme of 'Living Waters' and also welcomed Ian Dolan into Church Membership.

In the afternoon we had an open celebration  drop in, with tea and cake. We were treated to a lovely musical accompaniment  from our worship band. The afternoon was enjoyed by all who came.

Our thanks to all involved.
