Giving

We are always very grateful for donations towards our work - old buildings, no matter how beautiful, are very expensive to maintain! However, there is no obligation to donate - we are happy to welcome you for yourself alone. If you do wish to donate, please see the information below.

Ways to Give:

By bank transfer or online standing order - please contact us for our bank details.

By cash or cheque in the offering collection on Sunday mornings.  All cheques can be made payable to Lynton United Reformed Church.

Put it in the Church's letter box - you will see it to the left of the main entrance porch. It is checked regularly.

Hand it to any of our members - they will see it gets to the right person.

A Tax-Efficient Way To Boost Your Donations - Gift Aid:

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can make your donations go further by donating through Gift Aid. The Gift Aid scheme enables us (as a charity) to reclaim tax on donations made to us by UK taxpayers, which effectively increases the amount of the donation. Under this scheme, we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated, without any extra cost to donors. If you pay UK tax (Income or Capital Gains Tax) and would like the Church to be able to claim back the basic tax rate on your donations (at no extra cost to you), then you will need to complete, sign and return a form.

To return a Gift Aid form hand it in on a Sunday with your offertory money, put it in the Church's letter box or post it to: Synod Treasurer, URC Southwestern Synod, 18 Paul Street, Taunton TA1 3PF

Thank you so much for your generosity.
